Who is responsible for your data

What data we collect

• Gentlemen’s application: name, email, phone or WhatsApp, age, occupation, city and country, availability to travel, what you are looking for and the authorisations given.
• Candidate registration: full name, age, city, department and country, email, phone or WhatsApp, marital status, whether she has children, profession or occupation, education level, English level, optional social media profiles, what she is looking for in a marriage, preferred age range for the gentleman, a short text about herself and the authorisations given.
• Contact form: name, email and message.
• Evaluation payment: name and email. Payment details are processed by the payment provider (PayPal or the Paga Hoy payment gateway); Zafira does not receive or store card details.

What we use it for

• To review applications and registrations and to contact you.
• To carry out the identity, marital-status and background checks that the process requires, including through specialised providers, some of them located in the United States.
• To provide the service, manage payments and meet legal obligations.
• To measure how the site is used, only if you accept analytics cookies.
• To measure our advertising on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and to show our ads to people who visited the site, only if you accept advertising cookies.

Sensitive data is processed only when necessary and with your express authorisation. You are not obliged to authorise the processing of sensitive data.

Who we share it with

Introductions: if you accept an introduction, we share with the other person — who may live in the United States or in Colombia — only the information you authorise at that time.

We do not sell personal data. Apart from introductions, we share it only with the providers needed to run the site and provide the service — web hosting, email, Google (analytics with your consent, and web fonts), payment providers (PayPal and the Paga Hoy payment gateway), background verification providers, and WhatsApp if you choose to write to us — or when the law requires it. If you accept advertising cookies, we also share data about your visit with Meta Platforms to measure and show our ads. Some of these providers are located outside Colombia, mainly in the United States.

Cookies

• Essential: a cookie that stores your consent choice.
• Analytics: Google Analytics, only if you accept it in the cookie banner.
• Advertising: Meta Pixel, only if you accept it in the cookie banner. It records the pages you visit and, on the gentlemen’s page, when the application window is opened and when the application is completed (when you press “Send application”), not what you type in any form. It does not measure candidate registrations and is not used on the candidate pages or on the Spanish-language legal pages. Meta receives this together with technical data (page address, IP address, browser and the _fbp identifier), may link it to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one, and may use it to measure and show ads, under its own privacy policy. You can manage how Meta uses it for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
• You can change your choice at any time from the preferences button in the banner.

Retention and security

We keep data for as long as needed for these purposes and to meet legal obligations, and we apply reasonable technical and administrative security measures. The site uses HTTPS.

Your rights

You may access, update and correct your data, request proof of your authorisation, ask how your data has been used, withdraw your authorisation or request deletion where applicable, and file a complaint with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio. Write to business@zafiramatchagency.com. Enquiries are answered within 10 business days and claims within 15 business days, as provided by Law 1581 of 2012.
